An Afternoon at Suan Rot Fai (Railroad Park)

Living in a big city like Bangkok has its challenges. Although we are very happy to have the green grass, trees, flowers, and even pots with fish here at the hospital, it is very different from what we left in the United States. There we could easily find places to enjoy nature and play in big fields or walk through shady forests.

But, even a big city like Bangkok has its parks. On Sunday we got to go to Suan Rot Fai, or Railroad Park. There we rented bicycles, flew kites, went to the butterfly and insect musuem, and played on the playground.

Michaela said, "Flying my kite was the best thing about going to the park." Even Emily got excited about kite flying.

Elephant Island

At Christmas we went on a trip to Elephant Island. The island is located in southeastern Thailand by Cambodia. At the beach we had lots of fun playing with our new friends Ariel, Ethan, and Sierra. Their daddy is Pastor Roger of the Bangkok International Adventist Church.

Our daddy found this interesting puffer fish while swimming out in the ocean. It was really neat to see it all puffed up with water. We always have fun at the beach.

We're on the Web Too!

Our Dad and Mom say we should be on the web too! So look for stories about mission life from us kids, Michaela and Emily.
